Lo-Fi Project
The "Lo-Fi Project" was set up by John to test our ability to respond to a brief and give us chance to work in small teams.
I paired up with my friend Alex and we recieved the brief: we were to produce a 'single plane' Animation based around a word.
Everyone drew different words, which turned out to be various elements. We got "water", which was great as it's a hugely broad focus point that would give us lots of research material to consider.
We were then all given an additional two words that had to tie in with our Animation as well. We drew "ugly" and "towering", which were very odd words and sounded tricky to relate with "water", but it gave us an interesting challenge!

Water - Ugly - Towering
I immediately starting brainstorming ideas in my notebook, considering different properties of our given words, as well as how they could link together and also what simple stories could involve all three of them.
We researched into the appearance of young Angler fish to get some idea of its shape and size before we designed our character.
